REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
Gila River Youth Football and Cheer is home to the 2008 American Youth Football and Cheer National Cheer Champions 11 and under open Divison the National competition was held in Orlando Florida in December 2008. They are also 2008 Pacific/Desert Mountain Regional  Champions 11 and under open divison which was held in San Diego California in November. This  was a first for the Central Arizona Youth Football League for sending a cheer squad to Nationals and first time an all Native American Cheer squad competed at a national cheer competiton. We are very proud of you.

Gila River Cheer Elite again makes another trip to Nationals in Orando Florida. The Elite Cheer squad brings home another title places 5th in the 12 and Under Blue Small

About Us


In 2006 Leon Manuel and David Yesk GRIC Tribal Recereation Director got together to figure out how to start and run and ,maintain youth tackle football on the Gila River Indian Community. Both put many contacts out to neighboring football leagues. One replied the Central Arizona Youth Football and Cheer League and American Youth Football sub divison. Gila River Youth Football would run under Chandler Youth Football and Cheer umbrella the first  season 2006 GRYF had recruited over 30 players and 7 cheer leaders they were broken down to 2 teams a mighty mite and a junior midget
